Rupert and Rene Musgrove 1943 - 1945

The certificate above shows marriage between Rupert Musgrove and Rene Evelyn Ellis. They married in Islington Registry Office on the twenty eighth of August 1943 at the height of the Second World War. Rupert was an electrician working for Islington Council. The couple lived at 18 Biddestone Road (pictured left) just off Holloway Road. At this time his sister Emily and her family were living in Eden Grove a very short distance away.

There were no electoral registers during the Second World War. The first to show Rupert and Rene was in 1945.

They were now living at 533 Caledonian Road, Lower Holloway. The property is pictured below (second from right)
